Time for krompf again! So, folks, if you’re interested in comedy—at all—I highly recommend this class. Why? Well…
- Krompf isn’t just about game, it’s about everything you can do with game. Game, of course, being the incredibly powerful comedic technique taught at UCB and touted the world over. If you’ve ever laughed at something on this blog, it’s because of game. Krompf is where you learn to find games within seconds, play them strong, play them off of each other, and discover what happens when we tamper with their genetic make-up. (It ends up a lot better than Rise of the Planet of the Apes)
- Amey’s teaching. You can’t do comedy in New York for long without running into Amey. She’s the best. Plus, she’s part of the group that made the krompf form. You couldn’t ask for a better teacher.
- Super accessible. The class will be scheduled on your preference of date/time. It’s held at Simple Studios, which is in walking distance from Penn Station (for all you out-of-towners). There’s no prerequisite. You don’t have to be from UCB or Magnet or PIT or any theater; you just have to bring you.
- CRAZY AFFORDABLE! That deserves caps. The class will be $125-$150 depending on how many people sign up. That’s less than you would pay for a comparable workshop or class at any of the major theaters around town, and no heckling with a registrar to argue that your degree from the Atlantic should at least credit you for a 101.
